DuBois promoted to chief


The Police Commission has announced the impending retirement of Chief Lou Ferland and the promotion of Deputy Chief Stephen DuBois to replace him. Ferland has been chief for three years and a member of the force for 30 years. He will step down in September. DuBois has been a member of the force for 19 years and deputy chief for three. He began his career as a patrolman. - Tom Long
