Steer finds haven, herd in upstate New York

Thunder, a 2,000 pound steer that is a favorite attraction at the MSPCA’s Nevins Farm in Methuen, is moving on to greener pastures. He is being transferred at the end of the month to Farm Sanctuary, a 175-acre shelter located amid hills and forests in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. The sanctuary provides lifelong care and rehabilitation to farm animals, many rescued from cruelty and neglect.
