Charging station for electric cars

The city has installed its first publicly accessible electric vehicle charging station. Located on Warren Street, the station accommodates two cars and sits in front of United Teen Equality Center, which is currently under construction. Once completed, the center will provide free power to the station through a rooftop photovoltaic panel system. Until the building’s expected completion in late fall, the station will be made available upon request by calling 978-856-3990. After construction is finished, electric vehicle owners are encouraged to use the station as they would an ordinary parking spot to recharge. More information is available by calling 978-674-4252.
