Closing in on interim manager

The Board of Selectmen hopes to interview three to five interim town administrator candidates this week. The board has already narrowed the applicant pool from 26, and plans to have the interim replacement for Jeff Chelgren, who is leaving for a similar position in Marblehead, by the end of March. Molly Martins, board chairwoman, said that the board would begin the search for a new town administrator after the May Town Meeting. - David Rattigan
