Smith takes on leadership role in Woburn

Colleen Martell set the standard. Kayla Smith is trying her best to follow in the footsteps of her former teammate at Woburn High. With the graduation of Martell (a state-leading 73 points last season), Smith delivered 57 points during a 15-3-2 regular season for the Tanners. In the tournament, the junior winger has not altered her approach, netting the game’s only goal in a win over Lexington.
