Woburn hails water upgrade, but some dirty water persists

Woburn officials say the city’s water system has been significantly improved through a multi-year upgrade, but they acknowledge some residents are not yet seeing the benefits. Officials say the projects have collectively improved the quality of the city’s drinking water, notably by removing the minerals - iron and manganese - that have caused the discoloration many residents have often experienced with their water over the years. But some South End residents say their water remains discolored.
