St. John’s Prep product Pat Connaughton put together an impressive freshman season on the court for the University of Notre Dame basketball team. And three days after the Irish were eliminated from the NCAA tournament, the 6-foot-5 Arlington resident started on the mound for the Fighting Irish baseball team, striking out Eastern Michigan hitters in 1 2/3 innings.
