Hunting continues at town-owned park

Voters at Town Meeting March 16 defeated an attempt to prohibit hunting at Stratham Hill Park. Hunting has been allowed in the park since 1905, when the Tuck family donated the property to the town. A proposed revision of park ordinances would have prohibited hunting, but, after a public hearing on the question, the Board of Selectmen decided to place the question before Town Meeting voters. - Tom Long
