Interim administrator hired

The Board of Selectmen has hired Wareham Town Administrator Mark Andrews as the interim town administrator, replacing Jeff Chelgren. Andrews is a former finance officer for both the city of Lawrence and Northern Essex Community College, and is also a former director of economic development and planning for the city of Haverhill. He was hired through August at an annual salary of $100,000. Board chairwoman Molly Martins said Andrews may also apply for the permanent position. - David Rattigan
