Presentations on local lore

The Tewksbury Historical Society is presenting three talks on various aspects of local history by society members starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the public library, 300 Chandler St. First, Tom King will speak about his research into two old gravestones with Tewksbury connections that were acquired over the years by the society. David Marcus will discuss the town’s involvement in the Battle of Bunker Hill, and Mike Kelley will talk about a local Civil War veteran. The free event is part of the society’s annual new members meeting; the general public is also welcome to attend. - John Laidler
