The town treasurer has released a list of 69 uncashed checks that were issued between May 2007 and September 2010 and have been deemed abandoned. Under state law, checks are presumed abandoned unless claimed by the person entitled to them within one year after the date of issuance. To view the complete list of the town’s abandoned checks, visit www.townofchelmsford.us. If your name is on the list and you would like to request a replacement check, a claim form must be submitted to the town treasurer by May 31. - Brenda J. Buote
