Starting April 30, the hours of operation at Town Hall will change. Currently, business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In a pilot program initiated by Town Manager Andrew W. Maylor, Town Hall will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Tuesdays, the administrative offices will close at 6 p.m., and on Fridays at noon. The new hours also apply to the Department of Public Works and town departments at 1600 Osgood St. Maylor recently told the Board of Selectmen that the changes are an effort to increase convenience for residents. The changes will be in place until the end of August, and then will be assessed to determine whether they will continue, said Assistant Town Clerk Karen Fitzgibbons. - Katheleen Conti
