The Lowell Transitional Living Center will hold the first Steps to Home fund-raising walk June 10. Featuring optional 2- and 5-mile routes, the walk will begin on the corner of Jackson and Canal streets and will wind from the Hamilton Canal District through historic areas of the city, including the Canal Walk and River Walk. Registration is $25 per person, $12 for students and children under 12. Children under 2 and wheelchair participants are free. Proceeds will benefit the center, which provides supportive housing, emergency shelter, and meals to those making the transition from shelter to a permanent home.
