City enforces dog registration law

The city has requested that all dog owners comply with the state law and have their dogs registered. For those who missed the April 30 deadline, the fee is $32.50 per dog if paying in person and $33.50 if paying by mail, which includes a $10 late fee. A rabies vaccination certificate is necessary in order to receive a registration. Dogs can be registered at the city clerk’s office, City Hall, Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; and Friday, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
