The Christian Community Service Organization, which runs the North Reading Food Pantry, is seeking donations to support its Dare to Begin program, which helps people start small businesses or complete their education and move their families to financial independence. Over the past 18 months, Dare to Begin has made seven no-interest loans. Three of the recipients have reached their goals and have started repaying their loans, but the need for assistance is greater than the program’s resources, organizers say. Donations would be used to fund additional loans. Checks may be made payable to Dare to Begin and mailed to PO Box 626, North Reading, 01864.
