The Exeter Theater Company has announced its plan to resurrect the Ioka Theater. The downtown landmark will be revived as an art house theater with two movie screens and will also be available for live music and stage performances. The theater opened in 1915 and closed in 2008. The movie house was turned over to the theater company by Kensington Exeter LLC, a company owned by Kensington resident Alan Lewis, who bought it at auction last year.
