Town Manager Jodi Ross is advising commuters who typically travel along Interstate 495, from the Boston Road exit north to the Westford/Chelmsford town line, to plan for delays or consider alternate routes. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be working on that 2-mile stretch throughout the 2012 construction season, clearing vegetation to improve sight distance; grinding, milling, and paving the existing roadway surface and the highway access ramps at Boston Road; adjusting structures and granite curbing; and repairing the bridge deck over Tadmuck Road.
