Nashua to provide iPads for sixth-graders

Every sixth-grader in the city will have access to an Apple iPad starting in the fall, when the public schools implement a new science curriculum. The Board of Education has approved the purchase of 270 of the high-tech devices to allow each of the city's nine sixth-grade classrooms to receive 30, as well as an iPad cart with an Apple laptop and an LCD projector to be used in the Jason Project curriculum. The experience-based science program is being sponsored by the Sea Research Foundation and the National Geographic Society.
