The city is accepting applications for this year’s Senior Citizens Work-Off Abatement Program. Under the initiative, 100 seniors each perform 62.5 hours of work in various city departments in return for a $500 abatement on their property taxes or water bills. Participants must be at least 60 and hold a primary residence in Revere in which they have an ownership interest. As a result of a City Council action this year, they must also meet annual income limits of $45,000 for individuals or $55,000 for married couples.
