John F. DePinto, an eight-year member of the Board of Selectmen, has announced his candidacy for state representative in the 31st Middlesex District, which includes Stoneham and Winchester. A certified public accountant, DePinto said he believes “elected officials must give breaks to homeowners and business owners whenever possible, and it’s that idea that drove me into this race.” DePinto is running against incumbent Jason M. Lewis, a Winchester Democrat.
