Two Somerville brothers graduating at the top of their vocational class have been selected for a five-year apprenticeship that offers induction into the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the school department said. Kevin and Brendan McNabb will work at Bent Electric, where they will receive roughly 10,000hours of training and coursework. “Congratulations to Kevin and Brendan,” said Leo DeSimone, director of the Center for Career and Technical Education at Somerville High School. “They’re outstanding students. I’m sure I’ll be seeing them and hearing about their great work throughout their careers.” When they complete the program, the pair will receive their journeyman licenses. “We appreciate the opportunity to continue our partnership with IBEW Local 103 and Bent Electric,” said Anthony Pierantozzi, superintendent of Somerville Public Schools. “Post-graduation success for all of our graduates is one of our highest priorities.”
