The second season of the city’s outdoor farmers’ market kicked off June 10. Located on the city’s Spence Farm property, the market will be open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Oct. 21. A minimum of 20 vendors will be featured each week, offering freshly grown fruits and vegetables from local farms as well as such locally produced items as grass-fed beef, fresh seafood, cheese, and baked goods, and handmade items from artisans. The Agricultural Advisory Commission, which runs the market, is encouraging market-goers to make use of a new half-mile walking path that has been created around the property.
