Problem gambling will be the focus of a Massachusetts Gaming Commission forum June 25 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at North Shore Community College’s Lynn campus, MBTA Building Room T102, 300 Broad St. The commission is overseeing the expansion of legalized gambling in the state. The event is the commission’s fourth informational forum focused on problem gambling, part of an ongoing series with the community on matters related to expanded gambling. At the June forum, the commission will be joined by a panel of experts, who will discuss the status of problem gambling, as well as research and available treatment. The forum also will feature personal stories from people who have struggled with gambling addiction. Members of the public who wish to attend are asked to register in advance by going to www.mass.gov/gaming.
