Amesbury sixth-grade teacher Gale Regis was recently named Educator of the Year by the Amesbury Rotary Club. Regis has been a teacher in the Amesbury public schools since 1976. She is currently teaching at Amesbury Middle School. A graduate of Amesbury High School and Salem State College, Regis lives in Amesbury and is married to David Regis, a teacher in the Triton school system. They have two children, Jessica, a math teacher at Amesbury High School, and Matt, a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
