Preliminary work has begun to expand the exit from the Spaulding Turnpike to Pease International Tradeport. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation plans to widen the highway from three to four travel lanes between exits 3 and 6 and to reconfigure Exit 3 for easier access to Woodbury Avenue and Arboretum Drive. The $54.3 million project is expected to take three years.
