Appeals board meets Tuesday

The Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing Tuesday on a request to allow a second story to be added to a commercial building at 137 Main St. Portions of the front and rear of the building would also be removed. The building is considered a nonconforming structure because it lacks proper side setbacks, so a variance is necessary. A hearing also is scheduled on a proposal to build a single-family home at 21 Water St. Zoning relief is requested for lot size, frontage, width, and side yard setback requirements. The board will meet at 7 p.m. in Room 201 at City Hall.
