The fourth annual World Folk Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lynn Heritage State Park. This year’s free event is dedicated to folk singer and activist Woody Guthrie, whose 100th birthday would be July 14. It will include performances of music and dance from places ranging from Latin America to Iraq, Ireland, Scotland, and Haiti. There also will be vendors selling foods from different ethnic traditions. The event is organized by the Friends of Heritage State Park in collaboration with the state Department of Conservation and Recreation, which manages the park. It is funded in part by a grant from the Lynn Cultural Commission. The rain date is July 7.
