The Dracut performing arts department, which is slated to lose 16 art and music teachers as part of 54 school layoffs, will be the beneficiary of an Aug. 25 fund-raiser. Tickets are now on sale for An Evening with Scott Grimes and Friends, a night of music beginning at 7 at Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Grimes, a Dracut native, will host and perform at the event. He is best known for his work playing Dr. Archie Morris on the television series "ER," and he has a recurring role as the voice of Kevin Sampson on the animated “Family Guy.” He is also a singer-songwriter and musician. Tickets are $22 for adults, $10 for students and children under 12, and can be purchased by calling 978-454-2299.
