Grove Avenue, from Burnap Street to Winchell Road, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for the next few months as the Department of Public Works installs a 12-inch water main under the roadway. Grove Avenue is a narrow road with many underground utilities, prompting the closure to ensure the safety of travelers and workers. The construction project is expected to be completed by mid-September. Access to the town beach will be open at all times via Main Street while the work is being performed.
