A group called the Friends of Patton Park has mounted a campaign seeking $150,000 for repairs and improvements. and is hoping for installation in the fall. According to a statement by the group, the private funds would be used along with money already allocated by the Hamilton-Wenham Recreation Department and the town of Hamilton for new benches, picnic tables, landscaping, and equipment. An area for 5-year-olds and older for rope climbing structures and a tree house is included in the plan. All equipment and pathways will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
