The town’s new single-stream recycling plan begins this week. Residents will be receiving new 96-gallon carts for recyclables that will no longer have to be separated. Though the trash will be collected once a week, the recyclables will be picked up on alternate weeks. The new system is expected to save money because the new carts can be picked up by an automated system that does not require the driver to leave the truck.
