A team of four Tufts University graduate students and their faculty adviser recently completed a study on the potential redevelopment and reuse of the former high school building. The four-month study was intended to aid city officials in their ongoing effort to return the building to use. The old high school on Broadway was closed when the current one on Elm Street opened in 2007. The Tufts team outlined three alternative options for the building. The city plans to reconvene its high school reuse committee in the next month and the panel will be using the report to determine the next step in the process, according to James Errickson, the city’s planning and development director.
