Free groceries available to needy families

Our Neighbors' Table is offering a bag of fresh produce, lunch items, and healthy snacks for local families in need. The program provides the groceries for eight weeks, from Friday through Aug. 25. The contents of the bag will vary. Families can pick up their groceries at the Main Street Congregational Church, 145 Main St., every Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon, or Saturdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interested families should call 978-388-1907. Participation is limited to 100 families. Priority will be given to families whose children are eligible to receive free or reduced meals through the Amesbury school system.
