Gordon College professor Valerie Gin recently received The Glen Van Andel Distinguished Service Award for contributions to the field of recreation and leisure studies. The award was presented at the Christian Society for Kinesiology and Leisure Studies conference in Indiana. Gin chairs the Recreation and Leisure Studies department at Gordon, and was recognized for lecturing, presenting papers, and consulting athletes and coaches in over 20 countries for the past decade.
