HOME DEBUT: Growing up in Beverly, James Beaman  visited his hometown’s North Shore Music Theatre  to watch shows on school field trips. Now, the New York-based actor is making his debut performance at the theater in “Guys and Dolls,” which runs through next Sunday.

“I am thrilled to be coming home and performing where my family and childhood friends can see my work,” Beaman said. He is playing Rusty Charlie, as well as participating in the ensemble, and understudying the roles of Benny Southstreet and Nathan Detroit.
