Promoted to serve as Army liaison to the US Senate and White House social aide

Army Major Michael K. Lynch, son of Joseph and Joan Lynch of Dracut. Lynch was deployed to Iraq twice and flew Black Hawk helicopters in support of combat operations. He also flew helicopter evacuation missions in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and numerous firefighting missions in Texas. He commanded the Army’s Executive Helicopter Company before being selected to serve as a military legislative fellow for US Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Senate majority leader.

Graduated

From basic training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.:

Army Specialist Brent N. Last, with honors, son of Lawrence and Lynne Last of Stoneham, and a 1998 graduate of Stoneham High School. Last received a letter of recommendation for his academic and military accomplishments. His attention to detail, appearance, cooperative spirit, military bearing, and military courtesy were commendable and exemplary, and contributed to the Battery Cadre of the 19th Field Artillery Regiment’s successful mission accomplishments.
