Businesses team up with Parker Middle School PTO to raise funds for education

Local businesses are teaming up with the Parker Middle School Parent-Teacher Organization to raise funds for education. “Parker Shops Local” will take place Dec. 6. Participating businesses will donate a portion of that day’s sales — as much as 15  percent — to the nonprofit organization. The PTO raises money to support enrichment programs, technology upgrades, and other programs at the Parker school. Participating businesses so far include The Chocolate Truffle, Everything But the Dog, The Hitching Post, The Dirty Doodle, Zinga, and Aine’s Boutique.
