The Community Preservation Committee is accepting applications for community preservation funding. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Feb. 14. Each application must include an assessor’s map showing the location of the project for which funding is requested; photographs of the property; written estimates detailing the cost and scope of work; a proposed oversight and management plan for the project; letters of support; and, if applicable, a historic structures report. Applicants must also describe in detail the benefits Newburyport would receive from the project. To date, the city has appropriated nearly $5.9 million to about 60 projects to create and preserve affordable housing, open space, recreation space, and the city’s historic resources. For more information or to obtain an application, contact cpc@cityofnewburyport.com or call 978-465-4400.
