2012 Festival of Trees kick-off set for Friday

The public library is gearing up for its 2012 Festival of Trees, an annual community holiday celebration in which organizations, businesses, schools, town departments, and families are invited to provide and decorate an artificial tree for display inside the library. Last year, 33 trees were featured. This year’s festival will be held throughout December. The library will hold free special events to encourage residents to view the trees. A kick-off event will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. It will include a free concert featuring Steve Blunt at 6:30 p.m. and a caroling performance by the Merrimack Valley Chorus at 7 p.m. For more information, go to the library’s website,, or call 978-640-4490.
