For the first time since 2009, Diana Dinapoli has a home at Thanksgiving. She plans to make full use of it today when she hosts a holiday dinner in Salem. But Dinapoli — and Marckendy Casimir and his son Natavius in Malden — are more fortunate than many. The Massachusetts homeless population has grown by 10.2 percent since 2007 — the fifth-highest growth rate in the nation — to about 16,500, all waiting for the American Dream.
