The School Board and teachers union have agreed to changes in the district’s reduction-in-force agreement. The School Board waived the two-week consideration rule to pass the new agreement, which allows levels of education such as advanced degrees to be considered when determining which teachers to let go. Previously, only the number of years’ experience was used to determine which teachers would lose their jobs when staff had to be reduced.
