Six Winchester nonprofits awarded grants

Six Winchester organizations have been awarded grants from Cummings Properties, a commercial real estate company based in Woburn, through its Staff Giving on Thanksgiving program. Cummings employees with 10 or more years of seniority were asked to select a local nonprofit for a grant award. Each employee nomination resulted in a $1,000 contribution; in all Cummings Properties donated $111,000, according to Cummings Properties spokeswoman Joyce Vyriotes. The beneficiaries were: Winchester Cooperative Theater for Children; St. Mary’s School; Winchester Council on Aging; Winchester Hospital Foundation; Winchester Soccer Club; and the Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy. For more information, visit
