Darkness to Light, a nonprofit that strives to end childhood sexual abuse, is scheduled to hold a Stewards of Children training session at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Chelmsford Police Station, 2 Olde North Road. Stewards of Children is a national program designed to help responsible adults prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Participants will learn about the prevalence, consequences, and circumstances of child sexual abuse, including the types of situations in which such abuse might occur. Other topics to be covered include effective strategies for protecting children and the signs of sexual abuse. Individuals who wish to take part in this free training session must register in advance by contacting Tricia Dzuris in Town Manager Paul Cohen’s office at 978-250-5201 or by e-mail at tdzuris@townofchelmsford.us. Space is limited.
