Haverhill: Spotlight Playhouse is staging its fourth season of live radio plays. The classic tale of “A Christmas Carol” includes Scrooge and holiday redemption, as told in a 1940s-style radio studio with live actors, music, and sound effects. Through Dec. 9. Medford: Joel LaRue Smith leads the Tufts Jazz Orchestra in a concert of dance music from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” capturing a blend of jazz and Latin music that will have the audience singing some famous American stage melodies. Rockport: Santa will arrive by lobster boat at Bradley Wharf on Bearskin Neck, following a brisk ride across Sandy Bay.
