Revere is considering a tax break for a developer that seeks to bring a Market Basket to a site adjacent to the Northgate Shopping Center. City officials recently negotiated the approximately $1 million tax increment financing agreement with Squire Charger Realty, LLC, the firm that owns the site at the corner of Squire Road and Charger Street. The deal would exempt Squire Charger Realty from taxes on a portion of the increased value of the property resulting from its investment.
