Residents are invited to take part in a free family celebration of the winter season. The city is holding its second annual Chelsea Winter Fest from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday outside the Burke School Complex on Eastern Avenue. The event will include games, rides, entertainment, raffles, and prizes, as well as refreshments. All the activities will take place in Merritt Park and on the walkway between the park and school complex. The festival is sponsored by local businesses, elected officials, and City Manager Jay Ash, who organized the event. “Our inaugural event last year was an absolute blast,” Ash said by e-mail. “We're looking forward to another great time this year, celebrating the holidays and our terrific community.”
