Town officials are seeking residents interested in serving on various town boards. There are three seats open on the library’s board of trustees, two on the Cemetery Commission, three on the board of the Affordable Housing Trust, and five on the Cable Commission. Those interested in serving should send a letter of interest and/or a resume to the Board of Selectmen by Dec. 27. The board had originally set Nov. 26 as the deadline but opted to extend the application period another month to allow for more applications. The three library trustee seats are among six that became vacant last January when the full board resigned following the alleged theft of $800,000 by a former library worker. The three other seats have since been filled. The seats on the Cemetery Commission and Affordable Housing Trust board open up on Dec. 31, when current terms expire, and the Cable Commission seats already are vacant.
