Suggestions from Fire Chief Joseph Lingel and Police Chief David Breen at Lynnfield’s annual budget summit last week may start a push for a new public safety building. Both the fire and police stations were built in the 1960s. Board of Selectman chairman Bob MacKendrick, a former assistant fire chief, said he had already talked about the situation with Town Administrator Bill Gustus, and he expects more discussions about the idea.
