Firefighters agree to contract terms

Wenham call firefighters recently agreed to a 1.5 percent cost-of-living pay increase as part of a contract agreement for fiscal year 2013. Earlier this fall, Wenham police signed a contract with a similar 1.5 percent increase. The new wages go into effect on Jan. 1. With the agreement, all public safety bargaining groups in town are under contract through June 30, and interim Town Administrator Mark Andrews said he hopes to have longer agreements in place with all groups by that time.
