Ralph Bates, a Manchester philanthropist, has donated $100,000 to Northeast Senior Health. The gift allowed the Spectrum Adult Day Health Program, which serves clients with Alzheimer’s disease and their families, to purchase two new vans to transport clients to Spectrum facilities in Beverly and North Andover. The organization’s vans make more than 800 trips per month, bringing clients to and from Spectrum facilities in Beverly and North Andover, as well as on field trips and weekly outings. Earlier this year, Bates donated $100,000 to River House, a Beverly homeless shelter.
